Open Media Patent License 1.0

Participants in AOMedia Working Groups have adopted the Alliance for Open Media Patent License 1.0. This is intended to fulfill their commitments to make available their Essential Claims, as defined in the W3C Patent Policy, in Final Deliverables adopted by that Working Group under the W3C RF licensing requirements as if that Final Deliverable was a W3C Recommendation. Contributions in the context of AI tools

Contributor responsibility. All contributions to AOMedia projects are subject to the same requirements regardless of whether AI tools were used in their creation. Contributors are responsible for complying with applicable AOMedia policies.

Human accountability. Contributors submit their contributions as their own work, regardless of whether a human or machine drafted it. Contributors must review and contribute the content of their submissions. Contributions generated by automated or AI-driven processes without meaningful human review and oversight are not permitted.
