AOMedia Industry Workshop at ICIP 2024
The Alliance for Open Media is excited to announce its Industry Workshop at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) in Abu Dhabi. Sponsored by Google and Meta, this workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 30, and will offer a deep dive into the latest advancements in AV1 deployment and next-generation AOM video coding standards, as well as share a series of real production use cases from Google and Meta on a range of topics.
Attendees of this half-day workshop will gain valuable insight into how AOMedia’s AV1 video codec has revolutionized the industry and what is on the horizon for further improving streaming experiences. The workshop will be divided into two sections, the first of which runs from 8:15am-10:15am local time and covers AOM/AVM updates. Part two, running from 10:30am-12:00pm local time offers a series of industry talks covering topics such as “Adopting Modern Image Codecs at Scale,” “AV1 For RTC Across Meta Family of Apps,” and more.
