The Alliance for Open Media's AV1 Takes Center Stage at NAB 2018
AOMedia Ushers in the Royalty-Free, UHD Web Video Era at NAB Panel and Demo Presentation, April 10 and 11, in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, USA – March 28, 2018 – The Alliance for Open Media (AOMedia) today announced that it would lead a notable round of activities focusing on the AOMedia Video Codec (AV1) at the NAB Show, April 9-11, 2018, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. AOMedia member companies will present AV1 demonstrations throughout the NAB event. .
The AOMedia presentation and panel will be the places where NAB's 103,000 attendees from 161 countries can see and hear about the most current AV1 advances and coming innovations directly from AOMedia and its members:
AV1: Raise Your Expectations and Stream Higher Quality Video

What: AOMedia member companies will discuss the advancements of AV1 for internet video and host member AV1 demos:

ATEME will demo a production-ready TITAN – its converged video delivery solution – with AV1 support, available to new and existing customers via simple software upgrade.

Bitmovin and Mozilla will show an end-to-end playout of AV1 video in Firefox, using Bitmovin Cloud Encoding and Player in Mozilla's developer browser Firefox Nightly.

Ittiam will showcase its Content Adaptive Encoding (CAE) technology with a significantly speeded-up version of the AV1 encoder.
